Study of a new investigational compound that may eventually be used for the treatment of type-2 diabetes
Besonderheiten (auf Englisch)
- You are a male or female.
- You are between 18 and 55 years old.
- You do not smoke, or you are a light smoker and are able to abstain from tobacco and nicotine containing products during the period of study.
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is between 20.0 and 39.9 kg/m2. The BMI reflects the relation between your body weight in kilograms and your height in meters.
- As a male you are only allowed to participate in this study if you and your female partner are using sufficient contraception or have been surgically sterilized.
- As a female you are only allowed to participate in this study if you are post-menopausal, minimum of 12 months without menses, or have been surgically sterilized.
- You are only allowed to participate in this study if you did not participate in a drug study within 90 days prior to screening in this study.
- To determine if you are eligible to participate in this study, you will first undergo a medical screening at our screening center in Groningen or Utrecht.
- Based on the availability and study logistics, the short visits and the follow-up of the study can be done at our medical screening center in Groningen or in Utrecht
Vergütung (auf Englisch)
You will receive a gross compensation of € 5672 for full participation in one of the groups of this study.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the distance traveled (€0.19 net per kilometer) with a minimum of €12 and a maximum of €160 (840 kilometers) per round trip, regardless of the method of transportation.
Periode und Studie (auf Englisch)
The study will start with 12 visits to the clinical research center in Groningen, these visits can be short visits (1 day) or short stays 2 to 4 days (1 to 3 nights) in the clinical research center. Followed by 1 period during which you will stay in the clinical research center in Groningen for 10 days (9 nights). This period will be followed by 6 short visits to the clinical research center divided over several weeks. The last of these short visits is also the Follow Up visit.
Please note: You can only participate in one group of this study. You also have to be available for all dates for the group of choice to be able to participate in this study. The dates of the study will be published on our website www.praclinicaltrials.com. These are the currently planned dates; however, these may be subject to change.
